Default how many days a week should you be training?

i have been researching and some say 3 days of 1 hour and others say 6 times a week of 1 - 1 1/2 hours? is training 6 days a week , working body parts 2 times a week going to make me gain more than training 2 times a week , and working them once a week?
i am not in begginer i have been training for a few years but never got to the bottom of this.?

I would say 3-4 times a week and train for 1 hour. Doing 6 days a week just isn't giving your body time to recover, even if you are not training the same body part. Your body needs time to concentrate on healing the damaged muscles and if you train too much in 1 week, it's just not gonna heal anything and then you hit the overtraining plateau and end up losing muscle.

At the moment im training 6 days a week in a push/legs/pull split with a days rest inbetween, so it works out u train each bodypart twice and u do slightly more sets than you would if you trained them once a week, but it also means u can do more specific training like i'll have 2 back sessions 1 thickness workout and 1 width. Its all about how ur body responds 2 the training frequency really isnt it, everyones different, but if im on a cut i find if i dont go to the gym im more likely to eat **** so a 6 day split helps keep me on the straight n narrow!

Its a very difficult question to answer as there is NO correct answer.
I know HUGE guys who train 3 times a week...then other HUGE guys who train 7times plus a week!
All depends how well you recover and how hard your training.
4 is Plenty i find personally.

Yea alot of professionals train twice a day dont they although theyre on steroids and have nothing else to do! The problem i find is that if im training 3 or 4 times a week i have to make the sessions even longer so i can fit the smaller muscles like calfs and abs in at the end. Do u know if you take pro hormones josh, how much should you up the training or should it stay the same?
