    Default Weight Loss / Cutting

    Hi Guys,

    Few Questions really.

I broke my arm a month ago now and get my pot off in two weeks, I have started cardio today and just looking to lose BF as I won't be able to lift heavy weights for a while. Just wondering if I should just stick to a Palumbo type diet even if i'm not doing any weights at all for the next month or so?

Also, my girlfriends mum is looking to lose weight, she weighs around 17 stone, but this is a very high body fat %. She is only going to be able to manage to walk/ light jog to start with for a while and she's asked me about her diet. If I'm honest I only really know about weight lifting diets so I'm a bit stuck with it. What should she be looking at? I know the fact that she'd need a calorie defecit but don't know what kind of split she should use between protein carbs and fat or anything really?

Any help would be quality cheers guys.

    For women follow,

Dave Palumbo's Diet Advice Female Specific

Alternate 1 day on DIET #1..... 2 days on DIET #2 and then repeat.

    Diet #1

    *
    Meal #1 - 12 egg whites
    *
    Meal #2 - 40g whey protein
    *
Meal #3 - 6oz chicken with 1-cup asparagus or green beans
    *
Meal #4 - 6oz white fish (fluke, flounder, sole, ect.) With a green salad with vinegar & mustard (no olive or macadamia nut oil)
    *
Meal #5 - 35g whey protein or 12 egg whites

    Diet #2

    *
    Meal #1 - 2 whole (omega-3) eggs with 6 egg whites
    *
Meal #2 - 35g whey protein with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter
    *
Meal #3 - 6oz chicken with 1/4-cup (1oz) cashew nuts, or almonds, or walnuts (vary it)
    *
Meal #4 - 6oz salmon, swordfish, or red meat with a green salad (no tomatoes, red peppers, or carrots) with 1 tablespoon of olive oil or mac nut oil and vinegar
    *
Meal #5 - 35g whey with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 2 whole (omega-3) eggs with 6 white

For yourself i personally would say the Palumbo diet will be fine for yourself and you will still lose alot of water weight even though your not training.

    Thanks

yeh, the diets a bit strict for someone looking to lose basic weight and only doing things such as walking, especially if she's going to keep to a diet. It's alot easier when your working out etc but when its just to lose weight gradually. I was thinking more of a 500calorie defecit from maintenence but just wondering how muh protein carbs and fat to eat e.g 40/30/30. But not a clue of what you would need with just basic walking/slow jogging.
