Default My blender has pack up again!

My blender has just packed up when I was making my morning gainer. I stick the oats in first and blend them to make them fine, but when I was doing it this morning it burnt out/shut down. Not sure why as I didn't blend the oats any longer then usual. The blender I have is a Philips and it was about £30.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good blender that is not lightweight and will last for more than six months? Don't really want to pay more than £50. I will be going to Argos later, so any recommendations will be helpful.

    Thanks.

By coincidence I bought a new one yesterday from Argos. It's amazing. Got about 8 speeds, the jug is made of titanium glass (whatever that is), it's very chunky. The catalogue number is 423/2678. It cost £39.99.

Have a look mate and see what you think.

I've just been to Argos (I live across the road from one), and whilst looking it dawned on me it would be a lot cheaper to buy it online - it just means that tomorrow I won't be able to blend my oats whilst I'm waiting for it to arrive.

What is the make of your one? I'm going to check out Amazon and read the reviews and make sure the one I buy has longevity, as I really don't want to fork out for another one in six months time.

I have always brought Kenwood blenders, I reckon they are the best on the market, never had a problem with them except when somebody melted the jug on my last one Don't reckon you'll save much online, plus you'll have to wait for delivery, get down the high street - you can't live without one!!

Here is a link to the Argos page for my blender. It's a James Martin one, but actually made by Wahl.

No, I definitely don't have a spare £400, and if I did I can think of plenty of other ways to spend it that would be much more fun. But that is one powerful blender, poor IPhone.

I've ended up going for a Kenwood, and I saved £33 online - I don't mind waiting a couple of days. Let's hope this one lasts a bit longer than a few months.
