Thread: MUSCLE Rubs - Deep Heat, Deep Freeze, Tiger Balm, Ibuleve....

There are loads of muscle rubs on the market ...Deep Heat, Deep Freeze, Tiger Balm, Ibuleve.... to name a few.

Do you recommend any over the traditional deep heat products? I mainly use them on my right knee and upper forearm/ inner elbow. I find by the end of a Saturday rugby match all the lifting and scrimmaging (from being a prop) coupled with the weekly weights sessions leaves me feeling pretty sore and looking forward to Sundays rest day.

To date, I prefer Deep heat, but the smell is pretty anti social .... lol

I've used the deep heat spray and don't really rate it. Not tried anything else though.

Hot bath and a rub from the missus. LOL

Deep heat may smell like $h!t but trust me, it works. It may not work pretty quickly as you might expect but it will. Tiger balm is also a nice alternative but only if you have the guts to put it. I mean it’s like you have already entered hell (or at least the body part you have applied). But then again it works too. But still none of it comes next to the sweet massage from your wife.

I quite like deep freeze but havnt used any in a while!
The smell from deep heat really is not very pleasing to say the least.

Just remember to wash your hands guys before going for a pee
