    Default Palumbo vs reducing carbs

What benefits is there to losing body fats quickly through a Ketosis diet like the Palumbo one to losing more gradually by reducing carbs(not cutting them out) and increasing fat, protein and exercise? If the carbs are reduced, by say 50%,then surely it would be easier to maintain muscle size? Although it would take longer to lose weight.

By keeping your carbs higher it just means you will hold slightly more water and will need to do more cardio to lose the weight.
However..if the calories for both the diets are the same then the results should be very very similar!

I myself am going to use lower carbs, normal fat, high protein for 6-8weeks, then may switch to the palumbo diet for last 8weeks.

Thanks Josh. I have always lost weight gradually and the thought of reduced carbs for 2 1/2 months doesn't appeal!
So in theory, if you lose a lot of the excess fat first, then go carb free you achieve the same results?
