For those worried about too much caffeine in their diet. This drink will wake you up with a kick in the morning.

1-2 teaspoon of finely chopped fresh ginger
Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (more if you can handle it!)
Teaspoon of honey

Throw it all in a mug, cover with just off the boil water and leave for a few minutes. Takes a couple of mouthfuls to get acclimatised, but it brings you round quick, gets the metabolism fired up and gives you simple carbs first thing. If you drink it during the day, drop the honey and up the lemon juice (You can use jif lemon if fresh isn't to hand)
