Default To deload or to not deload?

The only time I take time off from the gym usually is when I am sick or other things in life are taking up my time and I can't get to the gym. However, this week I've had no energy/enthusiasm for the gym (which is unusual), and when I did go to workout my workouts haven't been with the same weights/intensity. I'm planning to change my routine, but I also think I may take a week off to deload and reset everything.

Do any of you do it, and if so, did you benefit from it?

yeah i have a week off every 3 months or so even if its the last thing i want to do. im so itching to get back in the gym its unreal. i come back with a new routine, diet and fresh supplements. really brings the passion back into your life (for the gym lol). id recommend it seriously. order your supps and plan a new routine, you'll be itching to get back in the gym within no time.

Great advice by Adam...a week off will do you good...give time for everything to rest...then when the weeks up you will be wanting to get back in the gym and smash it up.

Thanks, usually I just plough through these times when I'm not feeling 100%, but I think I'm going to start deloading every few months to keep things fresh.

I'm due to order some new supplements too which will help.....any sign of Size On V2?

Defo takin a week off helps man,as josh says it gives you time to rest but the main thing about it is you are actually burstin to get back into it so by the time you get round to it youre actually runnin through the door ready to tear it up when you hit the weights
