    Default Uri's Weight Log

So the main reason I'm joining this place is so I can keep track of my weight and track any progress to see how successfully I'm gaining weight and/or muscle. I haven't got the discipline to eat strict diets like most of you guys seem to, so I live by the philosophy that when gaining weight, more of pretty much everything = better. I have a calorie intake of around 2,500 calories per day (give or take), which I'm going to start supplementing with gain shakes. I also intend to shift my diet in a much more meaty direction, with plenty of beef, chicken and fish, which is about as much as I can do for now!

For a supplement I'm considering Pharma Gain as it seems to get great reviews and be easy to stomach. I'll be taking probably over the usual dose because I have SUCH a lot of weight to gain, and I'm eager to see results. Either way I won't actually be getting a tub until 3 weeks time when I get paid, though I've started working out and general fitness training already.

    Current Weight: 62 Kg
    Target Weight: 82 Kg

Yes, I have a long, long way to go.

And yes, I've put this in the wrong forum, so if a Mod could move it I'd be very much obliged

Good luck mate. Fancy posting a little more detail on your starting stats? Heights and core measurements - waist, biceps, legs etc? Starting pics?

Products you will use - when you finally decide? Routines / splits?

Well I don't own a tape measure so things like bicep measurements are going to have to wait until I can get hold of one! I do know a few measurements though:

    Height 6'2"
    Waist (navel) 26"
    Waist (hips) 28"
    Body Fat 5.5%
    BMI 17

My routine - which I started officially today isnt going to break any records for all time high weights but consists of (from memory):

    Leg Press, 50Kg, 3 x 10 reps
Spinning bike, medium tension, 3 cycles of 30secs sitting, 30secs standing, 20secs squatting (F$@%! EVIL!)
    Dead Lift, 20Kg, 3 x 10 reps
    Chest Press, 25Kg, 3 x 10 reps
    Horizontal Row, 8Kg, 3 x 10 reps each arm
Russian twist, 4Kg medicine ball, 3 x 20 reps (I couldn't finish this one - felt like I was gonna injure myself. I got to about 12 in my second set)
Plank, 3 x 30 second holds (also EVIL)

After this I did a set of stretches - they felt goooooood!

I then swam lengths for 20 minutes and did 1 hour of aqua-aerobics (the other half made me)

I know this isn't really much but I used to smoke and am SERIOUSLY unfit at the moment, so I'm exhausted lol

The workout excersises are going to be every alternate day, whereas I swim every day.

Also I'm way too self conscious about my body to post any starting pictures. Just think of a lot of ribs, you'll get a good idea.

After a nice long swim yesterday I was pleased to discover that I've ALREADY started to find it much easier! When I started a week ago, I could barely do 2 x 25m lengths of the pool without feeling like my lungs were about to burst, but yesterday I seemed to just keep going, and didn't need to stop and catch my breath until 10 lengths!

    The human body is amazing...

So I'm getting into my excersise regime beautifully. The excersises are about right in intensity for now, and I'm feeling progressively better every day. The feeling you get after a really good solid workout is pretty damned addictive, and I think I'm hooked. I'm finding the swimming easier and easier every day, and I can feel my lungs getting stronger all the time too, which is really encouraging.

The only thing which is driving me crazy is the food cravings! I'm soooooooo hungry all the time, I can barely make it through half a work shift without feeling like I might faint if I don't get some carbs soon. I'm eating at every opportunity and drinking meal-replacement drinks (Nutrition) when I can't get a meal in, but I'm still so damned hungry all the time!

So I weighed myself today, 2 weeks after I joined the gym (and LOTS of food), and I've gained *dun dun duuuuuun* 2 kg. My exact weight today was 64.3kg. Whoop whoop! That's the most I've weighed ever in my life to my knowledge
