Hey, hello and hi to you all, I've seen snippets of this place through my colleague (Machine - I wipe the sweat from his brow as he strains with all that strenuous pencil-pushing he does) and I'm eager to get some advice and friendly support from people who are (hopefully) sympathetic to my cause.
A short introduction to my general health, I'm an ex-smoker and in a pretty crap physical condition right now, but I've joined a gym recently in an effort to do something about it. I'm now swimming every day and working an entry level muscle workout every alternate day, a regime I worked out with a PT.
Now a lot of you say "I'm slim" and probably think it's true, but I think I can quite comfortably say you'd look pretty chunky compared to me. I have 5.5% body fat and a BMI of 17. I'm 6'2" and I weigh 62kg (9.5st) Admittedly, my 6-pack looks pretty awesome, but to no credit of my own. Essentially, I want to join this place for 2 reasons. First, I want to be able to keep a good track of my stats right from the start of my working out, and see for myself if I'm making progress. Secondly, I like to feel like I have some moral support (albeit from complete strangers), which this place will do nicely with. Advice is also welcome.
