    Default Lifting Belt

dont think this is in the right section but couldnt work out were to put it.

i recently invested in some knee straps and there the best 10 quid iv ever spent i can now train legs without my knees been in agony

which got me thinking should i also invest in a back support belt as during some lifts i feel abit of strain in my lower back

my problem is theres so many different types which do i go for?

    oil grained leather/padded leather/nylon/foam core ?
    4"/6" ?

I use a schiek lifting belt, I like it cause it's contoured to your mid section so is a really comfortable fit. Prob best belt i've used, it was a choice between buying this one of a proper haveduty lever powerlifting belt. I use a 6" belt cause i'm quite tall, great core activation for deadlifts and squats.

I have a Schiek belt like the one in the like & a set of lifting straps made by them too - really rate them both for going heavy on squats, deadlifts, rack pulls etc but I do try not to use them all the time.

I got the nylon one, I managed to pick one up of ebay for 99p which was a real find, I don't know if I would have forked out £40 otherwise! Depending on your height, i'd prob go for the 6" version. I got the schiek straps as well, they are a great design and prob had mine over 2 years and they still llok like new.
