A study from the university of southern mississippi found that 16 weight trained males had an increase of 3% lean muscle mass and a decrease of 4% bodyfat compared to working out in the morning when following a two-day split routine of 45 minutes weights followed by 45 minutes of cardio a week for 10 weeks. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m.../ai_n31165057/

Any time to suit your lifestyle bro.

I get my best workouts after a big breakfast or sometime around 5-6pm

I tend to train in the evenings after work, but have done a couple of early morning sessions recently.

Given a choice i.e. if work didn't get in the way, my best time for training is about 3/4pm.
