    Default Trimming that mid-section

Hi guys, I need your advice on how to trim that mid-section area. Not so much the front, more of the 'love handle' bits on the sides. I am really toned everywhere else but it's just this little bit i'm always left with.

Now first of all, the truth is I don't really do any cardio at the gym. I do however walk about 10 miles a week to and from work which is quite a hilly trek. I just want to know what you guys do to get that last bit trim (not ripped/cut) but just acceptible enouth so i'm not concious about it.

Consequently I don't take any fat burners. So do i do cardio and if so how much not to interfere with my gains, and do I take a fat burner, if so which one and when.

    Any advice would be greatful.

are you still trying to gain mass whilst you want to reduce these bits of fat? the lower abs is the last place fat comes off us guys so you need to be REALLY ripped to get rid of them completely. im pretty shredded at the moment but i still have that annoying fat on the lower abs. you jsut gotta diet and do cardio.

well you cant gain size and lose fat at the same time. if you start doing cardio and reduce your calories you may burn the fat but your muscle gains will stop as well. its up to you. personally i wouldnt worry about it unless you are either going on holiday or you have reached the size you want to be.

Yeah I've always thought that, it's just when you go to a gym where over 50% are always ripped and gain size it is sometimes frustrating. But then they are mostly taking something extra to help them.

Im the same, i struggle with mass and fat gains... was dead skinny before i started training, and put on about 3 stone within a year of training. I favour high intensity AB training to cardio to structure my mid-section though, alot of "twisty" sit-ups etc.... With that iv found my obliques have come on a right treat and its look all round more solid.

you see i'm quite lucky in the way i find it easy to pack on good muscle without having a really clean diet. i used to be 15.5 stones of good lean mass, then stopped for 2 years and went down to 11.5, within 3 months of starting again i was back up to 13.5. maybe it's a bit of muscle memory too. as i've said before its just a little bit on my mid section. when would you say is the best time to do some cardio, just a bit though, i dont need to be shredded, not yet anyways, lol

Cardios best to do first thing in the morning before breakfast (best to take 1 scoop of protein upon waking still), or I favour 20-30 minutes of cardio straight after your weights work out...
