should you wait till you are not sore again before training again?
how long does muscle atrophy take to set in roughy?

Sorry to bother you with what may seem a foolish question Adam, but in terms of training sore muscles, what should i do when it comes to training arms and my bi's/tri's are still aching from my previous chest/back workouts?
You should try and organise your workout split so that your arms have enough time to recover before hitting them. If you are really struggling, you could maybe put Chest with Triceps and Back with Biceps and do one at the start of the week and one at the end. Rather than training arms separately. As Adam has put above it is important not to train when you are sore to avoid overtraining!
It's not how hard you can hit. It's how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. Life is hard but you have to learn to take the punches. THAT'S HOW WINNING IS DONE! Rocky VI
Cheers TJ, been considering the bi's/back tri's/chest split for a while, might post up my routine on a different thread, see what you think![]()
Benny, It has been shown that the most limiting mucsle in a work out is your Back.
If you training Back / Bi's at the start of the week it will reduce your efficiency for the remainder of your split.
Therefore, depending on what days you train, start you week with Chest / Tris, Shoulders / Traps / Forearms, Back /Biceps last. I would posisition Back / Biceps so that you have the most rest before that session.

Cheers CTP I'm gonna do what Adam advised on this thread: http://fitforum.co.uk/showthread.php...Advice-welcome! -which was to do my four day split with a set rest day in the middle, with my chest on monday, back (and traps) tuesday, rest wednesday, shoulders thursday and arms friday.
