    Default Losing water

I was just wondering if im not in any competition or anything if i should still do the adding salt to the food then carbing up trick? I just seem to have alot of water under the skin ive ordered some dandelion root and im drinking 4-6 litres of water a day now just trying to lose some water for holiday, or will i just sweat it out in the sun when i get there? I was also wondering how callipers could distinguish between water and fat? Any advice would be great, cheers.

The salt/water manipulation and carb deplete and carb up can be done at anytime to improve the look of your physique. Can't think of a better time than for your holiday mate......go for it.

calipers can distinguish between water and fat as they go by the density of the material they are squeezing. i personally wouldnt dehrdrate before a holiday and dont worry about it too much. you will sweat a lot out whilst you are there so just drink plenty of water and you'll be fine.

Haha 2 posts and 2 different answers!!!!
I didn't take into consideration that you would be going to a hot place and being de-hydrated would probably not be all that healthy!!!!

Lol, yea i thought id just sweat it out but i wasnt sure. I sort of started salting my food then stopped because i ran out of salt, so i dont think thats helped! So do you reckon i should just train as normal and eat moderate carbs up until the day before i go? Its all inclusive so no doubt i'll be binging on carbs when i get there, lost my abs within a week last time!

lol TJ. the only problem is flying whilst dehydrated is dangerous in my opinion. plus then the sudden shock of heat when you are there you will lose water fast. health is more important than looking good. just keep going as you are and you will look great.

I tried dandelion roots two days before my photos went upto 2g didn't notice a major water shift but was pretty dehydrated already! I also tried a Water Relief tablet from Tesco which is suppose to act as a herbal diurectic, that I think worked more than the dandelion. The best one was the half bottle of wine the night before the photos

So a few pints of strongbow before i get on the plane should do the trick! How long before you get water back under your skin? I think i'll just keep drinking loads of water and wait to sweat it out when i get there! I'll wait til next years competition to dehydrate myself!
