No I'm not addicted to self harm, as some of you will know I'm about to embark on my first official cut. Never done anything like this before and am aftera bit of advice. Just placed an order for some animal cuts after CTP's rave reviews on the product and already have some CLA on hand. My aim is to cut out all direct carbs ie no bread rice pasta etc and replace this with salad instead to go with my chicken. I have a few questions:

1) Should I cut a pre-workout aswell or should I have one for energy in the gym as my body will be in a carb deficit is it wise to give it that extra something for when I'm training? Looking at VMAX Pump by PHD after the samples I had your thoughts?

2) Am planning on having a cheat day on Saturday is it wise to stuff my face full of carbs (like AC's custard cream diet) or should I stay off the carbs and just eat sugars to replenish blood sugars etc?

3) Any other supplements I should be looking at to get me through the day? I pretty worried about knocking out pretty much all carbs and have been told by a few people not to do it however seen some of the results you guys have had on your ketosis diets and it looks like a winner to me?

Any advice and guidance is greatly appreciated as I plan to start on 1st August, cheers guys, stay strong, LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD!!!

Keep pre and post workout carbs I'd say mate!

No experience with Ketosis but rave reviews from everyone so should be a good way to go!

would you just get your carbs from shakes then will be taking PHD Pharma Whey during the day pre and post workout and PHD 6hr blend before bed combine this with my animal stack and CLA just curious whether I'll need something like VMAX pump or wired to give that energy boost during my workout?

sorry missed your post up there numero not looked into ephedrine in great detail thought it was banned where could you get hold of some don't really trust buying off random internet sites palumbo diet recommends it before morning cardio I know, any experience with it numero?

I took it years ago when I trained in the mornings as a pick me up and it certainly does that! AC would be tha man to speak to as he used it as part of his cut. You can pick it up cheap and it is effective, but it is banned for a reason so there can be detremental health effects so i'd consider it carefully, I personally only think its a problem if you have some kind of heart condition/anxiety/depression/high blood pressure. In which case i'd would avoid it.

Id take the V-Max/wired before and have a banana after and then rest of carbs from protein shakes then mate!

Would you like a copy of Lyle Mcdonalds Ultimate Diet 2.0? Very good cutting diet, comes with instructions on depletion workouts, and an excel spreadsheet which you can enter all your stats etc..target bf and it will work out all your calories. Costs alot to buy but ill send a copy if you would like it.

Wouldn't worry abt the pre workout you only feel **** and have no energy for a week then its back to normal as u adjust to having no carbs.

I agree, that you will need some carbs pre and post workout. I use Synergy for both and a banana with my synergy post workout, then my carbs are pretty limited for the rest of the day. I have low carbs but not as extreme as Keto.

Personally I dont like pre-workout supplements, I prefer oh naturale than the feeling that it gives you but that is just me. If I am weak or feeling tired on a particular morning then I just need to try harder! haha

In the UK ephedrine is regulated as a P medicine: it may only be lawfully supplied within a registered pharmacy and while a pharmacist is present. The maximum amount of ephedrine legally available without prescription in one sale is 180 mg- the only product commonly sold within these restrictions is ChestEze tablets which consist of 9 pills of 18.75 mg ephedrine combined with caffeine and theophylline. These are intended as a nasal decongestant but are known to be used by bodybuilders. Higher strengths of pure ephedrine are available as prescription-only medicines but are not currently Controlled Drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

I've jused finished grenade fat burner and am back on keto after lapsing. I went with zero carbs apart from the little bits that creep in, was using pre-workouts as needed them for the energy. I had about two weeks of militant keto and started feeling good then lapsed on harribos at the cinema. Wish I hadn't cause it knocked me right out, I would say stay off carbs as much as poss if that's your aim. The thing I saw on keto said it takes two to four days to get your body in to ketosis. Therefore if you have a cheat day once a week your only in ketosis for roughly a few days a week.

I was taking grenade and sm still taking l-glutamine, methoxy test, cataylist, pharma whey and pre-workouts when needed. I'll blog my photos up at the weekend.

thanks for the advice there guys and Josh big thumbs up for that book only read the first 10 pages or so but I can tell it's going to be a great read that so big thankyou for that! Will look into ephedrine I know its relatively in-expensive have just ordered some animal cuts as CTP really got on well with those and I'm all for trying stuff that you guys recommend so might see how I get on with that. Matt I don't think I'm going to go as extreme as zero carbs as I think I'll need some to keep my metabolism steady last time I dieted I just ate salad and didn't really do anything for me so maybe just eating fibrous carbs, like TJ said a banana pre and post workout might be alright. Should mention that I'm looking to only diet for about 8-12 weeks so might do the animal cuts for 6 weeks then try ephedrine if I'm not happy with results, still a few days left yet to get a plan together.
