Wilks....only more cardio if his diet is in check!
Post up your exact/or close to exact diet of a typical day..dont lie either..then we can all chime in and offer you advice!

Doing cardio wont really help if your eating to many calories of which are from the wrong sources!

Josh.

i disagree. you can either decrease your calories or burn more calories. best to do both but you cant say doingd cardio wont help. Wilks is right for the most part. diet is key though so it would be easier to look at adjusting that rather than slogging your guts out in the gym for longer. a combination of the 2 however is how you get fastest resuts,

for a sample cutting diet check out my blog on my monster body challange, last year i was quiet ripped and it seemed to work if you are stuck on what to do or which foods to eat, hope this helps.

Adam..diet is the first thing that should be adjusted is what i mean...then when results slow up the cardio..by changing your diet and hitting cardio right from day 1 you have a good chance of losing to much weight to quickly.

I guess this is true and i may have been a little too quick with the cardio advice.

Although the OP stated he wants to cut "all the fat off his body" rather than hold on to muscle (assuming he even does resistance exercise?)

My take was that the OP's gym habits (from what we got in the first post) are to run twice a week in the gym. It may be that he runs 2 marathons a week or it may not. I was intimating that more frequency in cardio would be beneficial to weight-loss.

Diet is important though, I don't dispute that! :)

soz for the late reply, (insurance company's are tw*ts!)

basically i have -
beans on 1 piece of bread @ 8.30
2x tins of tuna and half a tin of sweetcorn at 1-2 pm
had a snickers then @ 4ish (i now its bad!)
15 mins running in the gym
hour on the weights and 10 mins on the bike
then came home and had a ham roll (white bread) @ 8pm

soo its not all bad (well i dnt think!) this is my sort of day to day meal!

if not i have 2 x toast in the morning
3 chicken thighs from tesco/asda @12-1
beef caserole or ham salad @ 5-6 pm

Im no expert but....... Anyone who is megga ripped or has that washboard belly is useually real strict on diet or just geneticly that way. The white bread, chocolate and processed meat would be a factor. The small number of meals may be hindering you as your matabalism may be slow, 6 small balanced meals will speed it up. i would aim for half hour cardio. basicly you need to burn more calories than you eat and only eat good calories. remember the body isnt fussy where it burns fat from so there isnt really a way of burning just bellyfat. hope i helped. sorry if i got anything wrong guys...................

I did 5 miles a day to start with last summer when i was rippin up, i soon got ripped but i also lost a lot of weight, and had to do more and more to keep losing it. This time ive not done an ounce of cardio just cut my carbs down to a gram per pound of bodyweight and half a gram on non work out days, and ive lost a stone in 3 weeks (although i think some of thats due to coming off tren bomb so probably lost muscle aswel). Now im losing about 2 pounds a week, when that stops im going to bring in the cardio, ive been reading alot about HIIT training so i bought an interval timer and im going to just do some skipping in the morning, you can get skipping ropes with weights on from decathalon or somewhere and they work your shoulders pretty good. Also i read in flex HIIT has been proven to increase muscle mass aswel, and it beats doing 40 minute runs every day!
