nice shake. 50 g oats is a bit girly. i like 200g in mine :)

in allseriousness i think shakes like this are a brilliant way of combining solid foods with your shakes and vital for part of a mass building diet.

What kind of oats do you put in homemade protein shakes? I have got some instant porridge oats which you put in the microwave, are they alright to throw in a protein shake ?

yeah they are fine. youll need a blender though. if you put them in a shaker prepare yourself for some thick, disgusting mush.

My favourite mega shake has to be:

1 and a half scoops of PhD pharma whey strawberry flavour
1 banana
1 tablespoon of linseeds
handful of almonds
60g of oats
1 teaspoon of olive oil
400 ml of milk

fills me right up, usually have it for breakfast

They are ok mate.

I tend to go for supermarket's own brands as they are cheaper and less processed.

A blender will chop the oats up anyway, so you may as well save a little cash.

will be buying a blender tomorrow to try these, whats the idea behind the olive oil in a shake is it purely for calorie and fat purposes?
